Does range matter on shotguns?

I know it's been yes and no over time, but I'm a returning player looking for an optimal shotgun in pvp. Does range matter? And is precision or aggresive the better archetype? Thanks.

Precision frame and aggressive frame both one shot so it depends on the handling range and preference

Range has mattered pretty much since foresaken, but unlike back then, fullchoke doesnt matter

One shot distance is determined by how quickly your damage falls off which is determined by your range
