Once you kill the final overthrow boss in an area, you need to wait there for a few minuets

A message will appear above your super bar saying " A secret keeper is nearby"
I recommend looking at a video to find where they spawn as it does not change, You need to kill one boss in each overthrow area.
Kill each one then go back to the Blooming and look for a pillar of green light shooting up into the sky, towards the refraction
Then a timed event happens, you need to kill two mini bosses and take an orb back to two plates, you'll see where they are via indicators on your screen
dunk the two orbs on the two plates and bam, mission unlocked for all your characters.
You can then farm the mission as much as you want for all the different rolls.

I finished killing the secret keepers and am at the Refraction with a green pillar of light, but the encounter is not starting

It's based on timers, you just need to wait aroudn or go to orbit and go back to wherever you need to go

so the green light activator thing wont go away after unlocking it? cause I read that you couldn't leave orbit during the unlocking phase, unless that's only for killing all the secret killers.

I would say that it does stick around cause you can go to orbit to the bloomin gand it will be there.

Make sure you’ve completed the initial alone in the dark quests to get the encounter to start!
