If he is fireteam leader, we can go down to Blooming and we get the meatball boss every time. We got the exotic mote first time, he doesn't get it.
We can spawn the meatball boss over and over. Anyone else having this?
Going back to orbit doesn't give the mote either

use dim and move your 16 motes to the vault
and youll get the exotic mote next kill @hexed crystal

I dunno why ppl are still struggling, I needed to kill the meatball for my last mote, I killed him and it put the exotic mote straight into my inventory 🤷♂️
It sounds like people need to kill a different boss to get their last mote if the meatball doesn't drop it

What worked for me was using my super (song of flame on warlock) and occupying his hitbox as he died. The last mote had no chance of escaping that way.
