I assume youre referring to the frozen "death" that insiders experience once. It should happen to all insiders given everything is on track.

It usually happens after youre done with the first step on the inside and are doing step 2, which is getting rid of your shape from the wall

what if the group doesnt do that strat but jsut directly?

My team tried to do directly skipping step 1 for insiders, it just wouldnt let us walk out even when everything was right. Pretty sure you have to do step1 step2

you have to have the wall show the same shape first before you give it away to people
