anytime your shooting any gun or anytime you're waiting for stuff like for example in ron if you're waiting for the nodes to appear then you get back your ammo

it more or less comes down to personal preference

recon and rewind return almost the same ammo but recon does nothing after the first mag till it ramps but rewind is always active
if you die you also lose recon and the amount of times you will be using something like a trace its hardly going to have time to ramp up I would never take recon on it ever 😭
