Not sure what weapons are good to keep from my old ones

Returning player just saw my favorite weapons are back in Onslaught.
I was wondering, are the new versions of the old weapons in onslaught simply the same stats but different pool of perks? If so, which is better?

newer versions are better. but sunset weapons get Un-sunset so I'd keep them until tfs anyways

Newer versions are universally better than the old versions

The only one maybe worth keeping from the old ones is mountaintop so you can instakill yourself with one shot with low light class item equipped (there are other ways but this is the easiest)

Best wave frame currently is forbearance (there are two versions, one from onslaught and the other from vow of the disciple)

In general the one from onslaught is better for low power content where youre not in risk of dying ever, while the one from vow is better in high power content due to souldrinker

(souldrinker heals you on reload based on the number of targets hit)
