So I've got Izanagi with catalyst, crafted apex predator with bait and switch, reconstruction, impact casings and quick launch. So the problem is what do I rotate in my energy weapon slot.

Distant tumulus with clown cartridge firing line is the ultimate dps sniper but its very hard to get

I mean with that setup the plan is to one phase so it doesnt matter

If you know ur not going to 1 phase then dont run it

Run something slightly less optimal for dmg but more practical for survivability and ammo generation

I usually use forbearance and swap to a sniper/wilderflight for dmg

Use a special weapon like a trace or waveframe

well izangi is obv in first slot so you know any trace rifles that i can use for the 2nd slot and then can swap to sniper/ whatever

but you could also just get wilderflight or the ikelos sniper for swaps if you can't bother getting a twilight oat

use abilities for pre dps or if enough ammo is lying around you can swap to a primary

Its not bad ammo efficiency because you use special as well which is easy to generate. You end up using way less heavy then if you just rocket dumped with rain of fire or a dodge

Yeah and cenotaph exist. You arent dropping 9 rockets during 1 dmg phase of planets, you would be able to if you just rocketed and then insta reloaded

3 rockets per plate is normal

2 rockets in mag with reconstruction + rain of fire reload

pretty much any boss in the game where u use rockets u can get all 9/10 rockets off, unless the boss is just killed too fast

Good thing cascade = dps buff and decon DAMAGE buff works on anything (refunding ammo)

izi takes 2,3s with a honed reload and the energy weapon swap is very little aswell

or is it just way better to get a energy autoloading grenade launcher?

you waste time otherwise ideally you fire izi reload honed x4 cancel the reload before its done

my rotation (this would be done on strand warlock) is rocket, izi, honed reload, 2 sniper, 2 rocket, grapple reload, rocket, then cycle through izi, sniper rocket using ur grapple reload when u have it

doing this does not allow you to fire till the reloads timer is over but you can then swap fire the energy weapon mag dump heavy and repeat

so you skip izi reload animation and do not need to reload heavy

atheon has genuinely no health so you can just dump rockets and grenades into him and he dies immediately
