I was running GM Nightfalls and came across an issue where my character becomes blacked out and I can't change/edit/access my subclass. When I run anything, I cannot use abilities/super, can't jump, and cannot sprint. However, when I run my other classes (hunter/warlock) I have zero issue
No using dim or 3rd party app to change loadout does not work

well the first part of your problem is just you loading into a GM which locks your loadout. during the activity when loadout is Locked you won't be able to change anything
going to orbit unlocks the loadout and allows for changes
the locked loadout is intrinsic and automatically happening in most difficult activities
you not being able to jump sprint or use abilities is odd. shouldn't happen. only thing I can think of is the miniboss acolyte getting to the totem and suppressing you
kill the acolyte before it gets to the totem
