i mean, it depends, if you want a direct answer from somebody you can usually ping them, but if you just wanna say something leaving the ping out is better

When I tag someone, I answer to that person.

yeah, but you can also use the "respond" function and turn off the ping there, that way it stays direct but also lets the others answer when they want to, instead of pinging
