Ive used both whisper (no caty) and apex (no gally) on oryx and have gotten similar results
Both ended at around 4 mil damage

I would personally go for necrotic grip over apotheosis if we're specifically talking about strand warlock

On solar, run sunbracers or sfp in neutral game and swap to rain of fire, ophidians, apotheosis or lunafactions for dps

Oh and get yourself a cenotaph mask from lost sectors. Its like aeons but instead of needing to finisher a yellow bar you just shoot the yellow bar with a trace rifle once

And it gives you special whenever you generate heavy

My point was that they both did around the same damage even when both are in suboptimal circumstances

Also missing gally means about a 30% damage loss while missing whisper caty means a 61.5% damage loss

OR it could be good anywhere if you shoot the shot straight up, swap to apex or some other dmg heavy and then get the dmg buff from worms byproduct when you get hit by the Parasite projectile
