Exotic engrams have a "knockout list" when it comes to weapons and class-specific armor. If you haven't found Necrotic Grips yet, just keep playing the game until you do.
If you already have and are still missing some exotics from your Collections tab, your easiest option is to run Legend/Master Lost Sectors when exotic gauntlets are dropping that day.
If you also have a surplus of Ascendant Shards, you can directly focus exotic engrams at Master Rahool into any exotic armor piece you've acquired at least once before.
If you have the option to focus Necrotic Grips this way, just make sure to have a stat-focused Ghost armor mod on to help get a roll you want.

this only applies to exotic engrams earned in lost sectors. and exotics directly from VSF. not for World drop

Lost Sector drops are for new exotics. I'm referring to the base behavior of "world" exotic engrams if there are still other exotic weapons/armor found in those which haven't been acquired yet.
Necrotic Grips, though. That might be only from Lost Sectors.
