What's the objectively best roll for this weapon and what should I pair it with?

Well theres 2 roles for crux that are good the mock apex casual roll and the roll thats so situational that any new player

Would probs kill themselves with

Recon surounded 1 rocket reloads to 2 on occasion

But crux is a throw away weapon once you have apex for dps

Idk usually a fusion/gl /shotgun with a weapon like witherhoard or izinagis is my go to

There is no level of content a new player will need a optimized dps loadout for none master raids/dungeons

Its purely for added utility but not necessary
On ir yut for example i just use fatebringer, merciless and apex

Also key thing with merciless:
When possible, get a kill with it and then reload right after, that gives a pretty substantial damage buff (i think around 50%)

Most people would fire off a whole mag of merciless until there is one shot left, and then use that shot to kill an ad

high effort high reward. the other is easy and solid damage. recon&bait is overall more useful for more activities

Riven is the best place to use it but there r a few bosses actually

it was used for henfd on the sub 6 minute fireteam Warlord's

though tbf im pretty sure they net limited on first boss with horseman

for first boss they just did 2 hunters on celestial, horseman and surrounded swords

and a titan on strand

they were using horseman but no limiting

horseman is already good dps and it matches surges w bequest

they also use it in the crota kill in wr

u also need to swap from a slug to horseman for it to work

he was on horseman the whole encounter

the boss also died at a normal speed

doesnt look limited at all

@winged pond Recon Surrounded is good, for any heavy weapon you bring into PvE content, you want two things:

• Ammo perk (reload, more heavy, etc)
• Damage Perk (Surrounded, BnS, Recombination, etc)
