if you got plenty of ascendant prisms you can buy blue gear from the collection and upgrade it to 8 energy. then sell it and repeat

and the weekly 15 cores from rahool and daily bounties from banshee award cores

yeah it's a little investment but prisms and glimmer are much easier to farm than cores imo

prisms are plenty in coil and grandmasters and glimmer is public events
