#What modes do I play to get some good looking warlock gear? Especially robes and helmets.

Raid and dungeon armor can be pretty neat, otherwise you go for Trials gear or Ritual Gear from playlists
Sometimes the Seasonal Armor Ornaments from the Pass can look pretty dope, this season not so much
How do I do raids and all that stuff? I dont think I ever done em
Yeah crota, kingsfall and root all have good looking gear
Raids are 6 man activities that have a variety of mechanics that require communication and teamwork
And Dungeons have simpler mechanics than Raids but still require the knowledge to execute them
I access them where?
different raids are on different planets, for example dreaming city has the last wish raid from the forsaken expansion
They're around the Director on different planets and stuff. You can look up a full list of Dungeons and Raids on Google
wdym does the planet matter
For example europa gives me cryo typa special gear and nessus something else
Or is that not the case
Also what shark said. Each planet usually has a raid to go with it, big icons off to the side or up top
Oh okay, thanks
if you want good weapons play the last wish raid on dreaming city
good looking armor would prolly be kings fall i guess?
Europa has its own planetary gear from the Vendor (though it has to be acquired through locked chests), as does Throne World and Neomuna
I am trying to ask about the drops from the raids themselves
Raid drops are once per character, per week, UNLESS the Raid is awarding Pinnacle gear and isn't the latest to come out.
Oh, good to know
I believe the latest Raid is Crotas End so that's locked to once per character, per week, but the featured Raid
Is Vault of Glass this week. You'll only get Pinnacle from the first drop, but you can farm any encounter this week in Vault of Glass for armor and weapons
Should also mention that each encounter in a Raid (or Dungeon) has its own specific drops
I.E. one boss might only drop Legs and Chests while another drops Arms and Helmets
raids are a lot different compared to a strike
Can't run it down and shred enemies?
most raid mechanics require a full team to known what to do and actively participate
nope
Do I have to watch a guide before I do one or something?
you can do that or ask someone to sherpa you through a raid (sherpa means teacher basically)
Nope. There's mechanics that have to be done while you shred enemies. Like putting charges in a podium or things like that
What is the easiest raid for a beginner to start on? Just to get a grasp on it
would suggest doing last wish for your first raid
Is sets you with other people right? Or do I have to find people to pair up with
I'd start with Dungeons just because they have simpler mechanics than Raids and are 3 people but the easiest Raid
(IMO) is Vault of Glass
Which dungeon?
And whats the diff between dungeon and raid
Raids and Dungeons do not have Matchmaking, pre-made teams only
Oh alright so you gotta find your own
or setup your own, which would prolly be a good idea for you
Easiest is Pit of Heresy, but you could also do Ghosts of the Deep, Spire of the Watcher, Duality, or Grasp of Avarice
Are raids higher in difficulty(NOT complexity)? Just the enemies and quantity or something like that
some raids are higher in difficulty
I forgot to put in comparison to strikes, sorry
raids in difficulty and complexity are harder than strikes
Most Raids have a much higher enemy density than Dungeons or Strikes, yes (hence the 6 person team limit on Raids)
IMO dungeons are your introduction to Raids. They still have the 3 person limit, but you need your own team and they
Introduce you to the fact that you have to grab x item and take it to y while killing or things of that nature
Some can be tedious if your looking for a specific item that only comes from a certain dungeon, but other than that there's always something to watch out for or remember or take to a specific place
they're fun if you like the raid, if you dont like it and are just doing them for loot then it'll be tedious
This too ^
How long do they usually take? Rough estimate on how they range
Not to be rude or anything but it looks like you're way too inexperienced with the game to do raids yet. i recommend doing dungeons first before you tackle raids (stuff that shark and snuffy are still good advice)
Dungeons about a half hour to an hour depending on the team, Raids can be anywhere from an hour to 3 hours (again depending on the team)
50-60 minutes for a raid
Oh wow
entirely depends on how the team plays and how long the raids encounters are
if your team sucks and you're playing a longer raid it'll prolly be 2-3 hours
I have a lot of experience in the game, just never played raids and dungeons. Mainly because I am a solo player. I just do quests for expansions and strikes until I burn out and leave for a few months.
Appreciate it
Teaching runs for dungeons usually last about 1.5 hours just because you're learning mechanics so when you have the time I definitely recommend picking a
dungeon and asking someone to teach you in #find-a-sherpa
tbf you saying that you only do strikes doesnt really help you out
probably run either prophecy or pit for a dungeon
then i take that back
Great advice here too ^
Where do I find those two?
prophecy is in the legends tab in the director and pit is on the moon
you need to finish the shadowkeep campaign to play pit of heresy
Forgot about the campaign pre-requisite but either way a good starter dungeon
