#Returning to D2, what does Red border mean?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
red boarder means you can extract part of the pattern for that weapon, if it drops with a redboarder
Some weapons are craftable, to craft them you need the pattern. When a pattern drops, it looks like it has a red border around the weapon, kinda like a masterworked weapon, but red
And they are rng drops
if you get enough of those pattern parts, you unlock that weapon for crafting, meaning you can choose the perks on it, and enhance them, too
^^^
for most of the weapons you need to get 5 redboarder versions to drop to craft them
in the season pass there is also 3 free and 6 on the payed track so called "Deepsight harmonizers" which can be used to turn a weapon that can be crafted into a redboarder version
so you can extract a pattern part from that
Only 3 weapons need less then 5, the ammit auto rifle, the taipan lfr, and the sword other half
TLDR, redboarder gives you patter progress for that weapon, and eventually you can craft it
^^^
plus all the exotics
and the wellspring weapons
Yea that too
