there is no hidden meta, you just have to pursue the powerful and pinnacle drops like LSD Shark said

you can technically farm out a little "boost" since all the ritual vendors give you a powerful drop for each major rankup, but thats kinda cringe, and if you have

a character already high light lvl, youll be quick to progress anyways

hmm alright. it just seems like i'm too bored of the base game to grind away mindlessly. There is nothing new for me to go for except seals and maybe 1 or 2 rolls of the new seasonal or dungeon weapons.

Zero reason for me to waste my life in a strike that i've done a thousand times, but necessary if i want to farm the powerfuls since i dropped behind in power due to taking a break.

you could just run the raids and dungeons, they drop pinnacles

the hidden meta is DONT FORGET THE HELM VENDORS
if you do a raid, get 4-5 pinnacles, and you're just a few levels off, you don't need to run a dozen strikes to hope for matching loot.
