its pretty simply, you need to get frames to unlock pattern.

and then using those patterns you go to the enclave on savathuns throne world to make a custom roll on a weapon

craft the weapon then you can either pay gimmer and cores to lvl it up or get kills to increase its level to unlock perks

Yes, you need 5 patterns before you can craft it
