I personally find that Vesper outshines eg. fallen sunstar in battleground GMs or when soloing paired with a Glaive, eg. Nezarecs Sin. Personal preference but it is a good arc exotic
To summarise: Sunbracers, Phoenix Protocol for Solar. Starfire can still be used but isn't what it was. Osmios or mantle of battle harmony paired with Ager's for Stasis. Contraverse for Void, Briarbinds are okay.
Vesper of Radius, Fallen Sunstar for Arc. Getaway artist is actually good too. Verity's and Necrotic Grips (Strand). Cenotaph mask. Transversive steps if you want to get into speeds.
