during explicator dps there's always 2 planets of the same color and 1 of the opposite color. the order in which you do dps is always: same color -> opposite color -> same color

so in your example, yes it would be dark -> light -> dark

^ yep! A good way is to never have the same plate that is the same color. So it would be a dark, light dark plate or light, dark light.
