I see everyone with /join (discordusername) on their postings but is there a role we need for this or something??

you copy and paste that into the in-game chat

and you'll be able to join that player, assuming they aren't full or have the right privacy settings

yeah the /join (blank) is where you'd put their bungie named and id

so for example mine would be /join LSD Shark#2881
