#How do i get loot? my current inventory sucks

I did my night fall weekly and the propechy dungeon but the loot i got was awful

im talking about gear but mostly weapons

Then go to the momument to lost lights and buy Ascendancy and Null Composure. Use with some exotic primary like Osteo Striga

good loot usually comes from raids and dungeons, some are from nightfalls. the "higher difficulty" activities are where its at

#

presage also drops stuff from season of the haunted so you could get something like calus minitool

#

to buy from the monument you need the resources, which come from nightfalls at higher difficuties (mainly master and grandmaster)

your main concern should be getting your light up, since some of the activities basically require higher light to access

like i did nightfall 4 times and the loot was not enough to lvl me up it was on the same level or one or 2 lvls above me

anything gets you to soft cap (1750 base power) after that only pinnacles and powerfuls lvl you up to hard cap (1800 base power) then you can only progress with pinnacle rewards to pinnacle cap (1810 base power)

overall its a pretty straightforward game. get your powerlvl up with the stuff that gives powerful and pinnacle rewards then do the activities that give good loot, then grind titles or whatever you want

vow for the gl and maby the pulse and linear, ron for the trace, shotty, auto and maby the linear, last wish for the rocket, sniper and maby the auto, dares for eager edge, ghosts for the rocket and the gl and some more

1755 to 1766 in 24 hrs lol

you cant just grind the same activity infinitely to get your power up (yes with the vendors kinda, but that goes slower and slower the higher rank you become with them)

once you got your powerful and pinnacle sources done for the week there isnt much you can do for power increase, apart from artifact power grinding

i grinded all 3 characters in order, the first season of lightfall, since then i am sitting at 1810 and just play for fun

i started on my hunter, since thats my least played class, did the campaign on legendary to get my set of 1770 or 1780 gear (dont remember which it was) then i did all my powerful rewards, then all my pinnacle rewards

swapped to my titan (second played class) and did about the same, last i went on my warlock and did the same again, ended me at arount 1790/1800 in the first week

i have good guns and builds from last season, and if you are a good player you wont have too much of an issue with the campaign, even solo. but for my first run on hunter i played with someone else

then you are going to have to improve a lot at the game after your slow lvl grind, since most of the game (where you get good loot) is made for fireteams, aka multiple people

a lot is doable solo, but it also is a lot more difficult than doing stuff with full fireteam

once you start raiding you'll want to run whatever featured raid is out at least once for each character

maximize the loot you get and chances for the raid exotic if needed

plus if you alr did a pinnacle for something on one character you can go do it again for another for more loot
