Solar kind of needs an exotic to allow you to get igniations or its pretty bad as a subclass tbh
Strand hunter is a better lucky pants subclass since you can just suspend things and shoot them no need for anything else

Most people use strand with lucky pants just cause solar has very little use outside of using utilty exotics to go with it
But if you wanna run solar with lucky pants make sure you have the fragment that gives you radiant on powerd meelee kills although you wont be able to extend it without using a solar hand cannon
