#Solo Hunter Builds
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
what i did when learning how to solo flawless dungeons and stuff
was i looked at speedruns
dont look at those general guides, those are kinda bad imo
the speedruns are fully optimized and can teach you a thing or 2 about the raid
aditionally if you tweak their builds just a little bit you have 1 of the best builds for PVE
and then what I did during lightfall (and a bit before day 1 crota) was I looked at saltagreppos day 1 builds and more or less copy and pasted them
those are the best builds in the game and bringing them to any content is almost always viable
for Solar, try fan Knives with mercy+searing, and healing Grenades. GPG is great too
Void you probably can just copy any gyrfalcon build, there's tons but the gist is just invis dodge -> ad clear -> invis finisher -> loop
Arc is just combo blow mixed with flow state+lethal current. Arc is def the most flexible in terms of gameplay as its just "punch guy real hard" and has the most Exotics to choose from for solo play
Trinity ghoul catalyst+arc. Easy (this is a joke...mostly)
Stasis you can either go with max grenade spam with renewals, or max shurikins with coyote/RDMs. for both just spam grim harvest with Rime
strand just make orbs and Grapple to them, and use both the heal on Orb leg mods
Been playing for years and I might just use these...neat
thats about it for what I know, if you want help making a specific build work dm me ^^
I'm by no means a hunter expert but I do have ~2k hours on hunter
ty so much for the tips
tysm too c: this gives me a nice guideline i can just look at and follow easily
remember that at the core d2's mod system is a huge sandbox so if my (or other peoples) suggestions don't work for you, just shift Perks around until you like it ^^
i was thinking what about stats for this ?
or well for all of them
high mobility+resil, with good discipline
this will be pretty much every hunter build generally
in terms of surviving, Solar has resto, Void has Devour, Arc has Punch, Stasis has walmart resto, and strand has Woven. you don't need high restoration
and gamblers dodge exists, so why ever run high strength? and int is a very useless stat rn
time too look around at all my items then cause i think i should have this pretty easily maybe
you want super low str and int. like we're talking that min stat T2 stuff
"arc has punch" has gotta be the most meme and true thing at the same time lmao
max mobility is important, max resil is important, and your grenade is either your godsend (healing, grapple, duskfield) or your big adclear (pulse, Vortex, etc.)
having 1 recuperation on your legs is a solid way to heal on every subclass if they dont already have something that outclasses it
that to. basically always run a recuperation or better already on legs
O IF ANYONE KNOWS id really like to just set up a macro for skating if thats a thing i know my friend was talking about it idk how to do it tho
or both if you're strand
skating is so easy I could teach you in like 10 minutes right now
and I had an edible an hour ago
ive been farming the eager edge sword so i cant rn rn
you can learn the tech without eager edge, it just wont go fast
when i started on this "solo grind" i thought the first thing that would be good to do was get an eager edge sword
but it's not nearly as "insane crazy movement tech" as people make it seem. just press 3 buttons like a quarter circle in a fighting game
eager edge is very useful for any person getting into that late game with solo dungeons, farming raids, or just general want to speed up your Loot acquisition
i just generally want to move fast
i just got a sword and it didnt have eager edge the depression is setting in
bad news for you then
Hunter is the slowest horizontally. all their good movement is the vertical and that's still easily overtaken by Warlocks in speedrunning
play warlock if you like fast 👍 play hunter if you like big numbers
big number
me play hunter too much to swap now lol
big number is so funny
you can always play both like me and plenty of other people 🫡 there's 3 slots for a reason
you got any exotics that should be staple on each build btw ?
<.< maybe
Young Ahamkaras, Caliban, or Arthrys' for Solar
gyrfalcon for Void
liars handshake or Assasin's Cowl for Arc
renewal grasps or sixth coyote for Stasis
and sixth coyote, crytaracne's for strand
also always keep Stompies, Star Eater Scales, and Radiant Dance Machines on you. stompers for speed/jumping puzzles, and SES+RDM for that top tier DPS
aegis has a video about the SES+RDM damage rotation stuff iirc so go check that out. he has lots and lots of great videos for new endgame players
between you and me tho i only wear star eaters and play arc in solo content cause it's super braindead easy
punch hard and funny stick will kill most if not all dungeon bosses
<.< arc op ?
i dont even know rdm means tbh
i think ses is star eater scales right?
whats gpg
gunpowder gamble
it has some very strange interactions rn and i could go on and on about it but the gist is that if you use it with wonders and have an incan gun or fan knife you essentially have an infinite grenade that makes 2 orbs
ooo
the only downside is that it can and will kill you if you have no braincells like me
or an enemy shoots it
pretty sure i die to my own gpg more than i do to actual enemies
but if used from a safe distance it is a hell of an orbmaker and adclear
sounds like me
also my dumbass does not have gyrfalcons because im lazy c:
do vex incursions
vex incursions?
it's a thing in neomuna that randomly happens and completions drop any exotic
any exotic isnt that a pretty low chance then ??
¯_(ツ)_/¯
all the good void exotics are behind that wall, omni and gyrfalcons are the only ones worth using for solo content
if void hunter doesn't excite u tho then just don't play it. the kit itself is okay with no gyrfalcons but you'd be better off using arc with assasins if you want invis
bet this i can do
ill go for gyr one day
LMAO
yeh
okay one more question and ill leave you alone actually 2 more what buttons in order for skating so when i do get it i can try and what exotic weapons are most used rn
Heavy (works without Ammo or eager just get closer to the ledge) then jump dive
or jump super if ur Warlock
also dw you can annoy me all u want, I'll respond when I got time and stuff ^^ I love this game and talking about it I'm autistic
sword attack -> jump -> dive/well. jump as you leave the edge. the jump and dive/well are basically at the same time as each other just do jump first
the speed depends on if you do light or heavy attack, and whether eager edge is on or not
oo ok ok then most popular exotic weapons ?
or weapons in general tbh i feel like i dont own anything of use rn i could be wrong but yea
for which subclass
each ig idk i see most of the time people are running witherhoard but thats all ive seen
you usually either pick one thats the same element as your subclass so it can benefit from the subclass verbs and stuff, or a generally good one like yeah witherhoard
just pick your favorite tbh
there's only one bad exotic in the game rn and it's darci
ty both so much
@loud trout if you need exotic armor, vex incursion and ls dont drop repeated exotics until you get every exotic at least once
the only exceptions being if you dont own x DLC
and lost sectors wont give you head if it's a leg day even if you unlocked every leg armor
the ones from shadowkeep campaign need that completed but thats the only one like that
this is very useful
question why can i put mods on my stomp-ees
you can put mods on all armor
ye ik but like legit my stomp-ees arent allowing that o,o tbh it doesnt worry me cause its just the stomps so its really not that important i was just curious on why
is it leveled up enough?
arc is gonna be your subclass for sure
run assassins cowl for general run doing mechanics ect. and before dps swap to a star eater build grab 4 orbs and there ya go ez
who tf pinged me 15 times
sounds like you deserved it
