Assasscins cowl best ad clear switch to stat eaters grab orbs if you want or just go straight to dance machines for rocket dumping
ideally its actually solar hunter with marksman dodge + cowl + ember of torches. then u swap into star eaters to pick up orbs then into rdm for rocket dumping
reason being is because arc hunter relies on gamblers dodge and if u go to swap to dps loadout youll go to zero class ability energy
better off with solar in my experience because youre able to keep up a good ad clear phase with solar fragments and infinite melee than arc
only down side is you lose ad clear and survivability for that
How are you supposed to swap from melee dodge to reload dodge during/right before DPS? youre gonna lose your chrage

its like a 25 second cd just swap before dmg

cause assassins cowl on arc is op although I not really poked around with solar hunter I just do not see it being insane

theres 2 situations for a boss dps swap, one is solo dungeon etc the other is raids
and I dont see how solar hunter matches combo blows dmg out put on ads

what type of raid are you doing that u need combination blow stacks to kill ads?
I mean depends on the situation outside of speedrunning and day 1s swapping loadouts is pretty overkill and if your doing something like a day 1 or master raid I do not see solar melee having decent ad clear

i dont see how loadout swapping is overkill, you have one loadout for ads and another for boss dps?
How so? I do not play a lot of hunter and am asking how if your doing a day 1/master level content how solar melee does decent ad clear

why would you assume this is for day 1 / master content?
I mean thats just the more extreme situation and the main one where you need to worry about swapping since dps does not really matter in normal raids outside of speedrunning
ok forget about loadouts swaps really quick, u dont even need to loadout swap i was just suggesting cowl, you can literally just run a star eater solar build and be perfectly fine

and on this i dont see why its such a bad thing for players to start optimising their dps rotations and loadouts so that they have surges and proper mods when it comes to boss dps

vs when there is an ad clear phase they need to survive thru
blade out damages storm yes
but its always good to have 1 storm for the jolt
Far enough I thought storm had the highest dmg output of hunter supers
both with x4 star eaters:
- gathering storm 487,176
- blade barrage 569,621
but like i said good to have 1 storm for the jolt
Didnt gathering storm did more dmg than blade barrage? I am confused rn
it did last season with thunderous retort seasonal artifact

also the extra damage to gathering would be in a raid setting with more people doing damage with the jolt,
and the person who threw the first gathering storm would have all the jolt damage stacked in their wipe screen total
Didnt knew the first one gets all the jotl dmg, good to know
also for multi dps phase ( maybe like planets in ron or war priest kf ) its good to have scav mods on your boots to get more heavy for your "ad" loadout
