Vendors for strikes, crucible, and gambit will give 1 on their 1st reset per season. You also get 1 for the 1st reset with seasonal vendors, but I don't think that resets. Takes some time, but it's not too hard

Also running high difficulty strikes. make sure to kill all champions that spawn so you get platinum rewards (highest tier)

master/gm if you go flawless in trials a week you can farm them by staying on the 7th win and wins past 7 can award an ascendant shard
