For a tldr this server exists because D2 has activities that are most conveniently done as groups, but due to the lack of official ingame LFG support (and the fact ingame lfg will probably suck) people use this
Each raid has a dedicated channel, as well as collective grouped channels for different activity types such as dungeons, the story campaigns, or nightfalls

the very basic loop of the game is, get loot to get more power lvl easier to enter higher lvl activities to get better loot to be able to buildcraft more to have an easier time in higher content

People post requests for the activity they want to play, and usually provide their join code and in the case of raids, what raid room they’re using for comms (or if you have to join an external discord for comms)

If you don’t know how to do an activity, don’t join a group unless they’re doing a “sherpa” run which are specifically dedicated to teaching the encounters in that raid/dungeon

xur sells 2 exotic engrams an exotic gun and 1 exotic armour piece for each class every weekend

Not sure how new you are, but a good place to start is increasing your light lvl through powerful and pinnacle drops, and really just from playing in general

other sources are the vex strike force, legend lost sectors and high tier nightfalls

Is there a tip for getting exotic gear?
Get on weekly, play 3 matches of gambit, crucible, and vanguard ops, buy exotics from Xur, and then do WQ and LF campaigns on legendary difficulty
After that you have to get armor exotics from lost sectors

some exotics are locked behind lost sectors and vex strike force so you cant get them anywhere before you get them there

then i would recommend playing through everything you have available for now, you have a dungeon you can do and 3 raids, try and get a feel for the game as is, and if you enjoy it i would get the other expansions

i would recommend doing prophecy first as an experience with a little bit more mechanic and boss focused content, and then venture into raids
