tried that, didnt work. At this point I just hope bungie will fix that also because no one is fishing anymore, you sometimes didnt even get to max befor a public event starts

you can wait to collect your fish until after the public event so that you start the new zone with some progress

only other thing I'm seeing on reddit that worked for people was max out the pond, public event, max out another pond and then progress would occur, even going into a 3rd pond without maxing it out

what worked for me was max the fishing bonus on one pond, do the public event, then come back and it started counting on the second pond
