You can start GM at 1815

GM is basically master but you are even more underleveled and theres a respawn restriction
legend+ content locks you into being underlevled by a certain amount depending on the difficulty
highest effective level for legend and GM is 1815, 1820 for master
lost sectors are the only thing that dont force you to be underleveled

its possible to do it at your current level but will be more time consuming compared to if you were a higher light level
try it if you want, if its too difficult then try leveling up a bit first before going back
the difficulty of the lost sector can vary quite a bit though, some are much easier than others
