My ability to research, and my ability to learn arnt hindered, but my confidence and tendencies to overreact leave me disappointed with my skill, I’d Iove tips to calm down, or advice on how to make solid builds,

Practice in sherpa runs, gathering experience in mechanics is good as an entry. A lot of sherpas are chill and want you to have fun

you can join sherpa runs with more that 0 clears, its not about others getting their sherpa count up, its about you learning something

#

and if that learning is just getting more comfortable with your roles/gameplay/abilities then that is perfectly fine

#

if there is a sherpa run advertised as "MUST HAVE ZERO CLEARS WILL CHECK RAID REPORT AND BOOT" its just not worth joining

Have you already completed dungeons? Those are a great place to start to learn how mechanics start to change how you play the game rather than just damaging a boss

#

If you haven’t gotten into dungeons yet, give me a ping and we can see about running you though some of those.

Keeping yourself muted unless you need to make a callout helps in my opinion. If you're worried about overreacting, pre-emptively muting yourself should prevent anything but callouts for your team to hear

Honestly, I was in the same boat, but after you mess up a few times you realize it’s not a big deal, but as mentioned, sherpas are good until you feel comfortable

Eventually raids and lfgs just become mundane
