Will lucky pants ever get me more damage at a boss phase than star eaters on solar?

if I'm not using arc is it worth running lucky pants with malfeasance over star eaters with a solar super and a different exotic?

only one gathering storm works at once though, right? So at like oryx or nez should I just comm that I'm throwing my staff second? or should there only be 1 gathering storm per fire team

Only one per fireteam and other hunters should use star eaters with goldy. If your out of ammo and no super. I guess you could swap to lucky pants and malfeasance.

its just some bosses like kalli have crit multipliers that are larger than the normal crit multiplier
