When should i start masterworking my armor pieces?

Would masterwork an armor piece if the stats fit your class/build and also has decent stats overall (60+ at least)

Class items can be masterworked as soon as you get an artifice class item. Otherwise it's more situational.

Armor calculators like d2armorpicker will assume that armor will be masterworked for builds, but you can toggle it so you can make a build without ever needing to masterwork

I would suggest only masterworking armor if you are capped on materials or if you need it for a build built by a 3rd party app.
