How do you get the fastest progress on getting the catalyst calibration?

Basically think of a location that contains alot of monsters,

Straight up doing any pve activity would be enough

i did three vangard ops and got 5/200 calibration

unless i have to use the weapon that much, there must be a way where i can make the process faster

the other people have mentioned ways to progress finishing the catalyst once you've acquired it. Since you said calibration, that makes me think you have the quest in your inventory.

Strikes, crucible and gambit match completions (losses or ties), and seasonal activities will give one point. I think legend and above nightfalls, and crucible and gambit wins will give 2 points.

there's a booster in the season passes that gives you a 4x multiplier. So if you want to get it done as fast as possible, buy the season pass and get to that required level for the

omega catalyst booster, and do nightfalls or crucible/gambit depending on what you like and what you're good at. otherwise, forget about the catalyst and you'll get it done eventually by playing.

there's no reason to grind out 200 strikes just for that catalyst

Is the catalyst even good on both guns aswell? (The season exotic and grand overture)

Grand overture lets the missiles and missile kills blind enemies, with some stat boosts. the centrifuse one builds up charge passively while you're amplified

the omega booster will also boost the catalyst quest progression for any quests you have by the way, that was a change they made with lightfall.
