Do the items for a preset class have to be in your inventory or can you put them and a vault without it affecting the class?

Do you mean a load out that you’ve made in-game? If so, then yes items can be in your vault and they will get pulled to your character.

They just can’t be on another character, then the items won’t get pulled.
