Lol this is tough, made my message too long many times
Also started off as Titatn
So without any dlcs, and free to play. It will give you a glimpse into a few of the different campaigns. Basically the first mission
When you purchase a dlc it basically opens up the raids and dungeons for that area.(and the campain) Except here recently you have to pay for the dungeons too now .
So basically I've just been playing night fall over and over rn
You'll get limited weapons and armor when you don't own any dlc. But you'll basically be able to play the rotating dungeon/raids that are on a rotating schedule
You can play pvp stuff, vanguards/nightfall. Those also are on a rotation so they change week to week
So at what power level or rank level should i start getting dlcs?
Also you won't get very many exotics without dlc. Which is what I love so much about the game. The build crafting is alot of fun
Well I'd run through the new light missions. Play the nightfall try the pvp and figure out if it's a game you like enough to putchase.
If you are I think some are on sale currently if I'm not wrong
I think thy let you try the different campaigns out. Dno exactly how it works. But you basically get to do the first mission
the dlcs in chronological order are: Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall
if you wanna go that way
Bet thanks
So I'm playing as a titan rn for each subclass what are like the focuses for stats and stuff
on armor and weapons
like I know void has weaken arc has jolt and solar got scorch but whats that mean
titans Love resilience since it gives dmg resist and affects barricade cooldown
the elements in this game will all have a debuff effect
void weaken = 15% debuff for most sources (excluding Tether and Tractor Cannon)
solar scorch = damage over time, you can stack scorch on an enemy to cause an explosion
arc jolt = jolting a target applies a debuff in which shooting or killing that target makes lightning chain between nearby enemies
its a lot of info i wouldnt try to stress myself out about
I’d def recommend getting the legacy pack
Beyond light is reasonable story-wise, plus gives access to deep stone which is a great first raid. Shadowkeep is a little mid but at least you can get Xenophage, Div, Witherhoard (!)
All Forsaken gives is access to Last Wish, shattered throne, and 3 free exotics. We don’t get the story anymore
If you’re gonna rec witch queen ($30) and forsaken ($20), just recommend the legacy pack ($60) which also includes both and shadowkeep/beyond light
There’s hundreds of hours of content in the legacy pack, even just playing through the campaigns/working on the little side goals on the destinations is enjoyable and good variety
Or buy all the DLCs
It is alot for a new player (<looking at this guy) didn't expect to love it. But it's amazing. I got the one with all the expansions. While it was alot. It was a he'll of alot of fun to learn
