I've been farming lost sectors on my hunter for Gyrfalcon's for many many hours, and I've gotten every other chest to drop about 10 times each but no Gyrfalcons yet.

Does it not drop from lost sectors? Am I missing something, do I need to unlock it another way or am I just having the worst luck of all time?

you should know you need witch queen for it
because exotics you dont own are prioritized and you have an exceptionally larger chance for them to drop over something you already own
