1 - Double Primary
- dont use double primary
Don’t. Ever. Under no circumstances should you run 2 primary weapons
- rockets are boss dps meta atm, Apex from last wish and the stasis rocket from ghost of the deep dungeon are great. you can focus a hothead from zavala which is another great rocket
2 - Bad weapons. Ace of Spades in PvE is a Hand Cannon, which are just plain bad. Same with Ammit AR2, which is outclassed by any decent trace rifle
3 - DPS
As was already said, Apex Predator is the current best rocket for general dps usage, so just farm kalli with a linear until you can craft it
(If you don’t have forsaken, then I guess hothead?)
4 - Armor Exotic(s)
I don’t know what you’re running, but on Blade Barrage Hunter you should be running Star-Eater Scales to boost your damage

for solar hunter i would look into ad clearing exotics such as calibans hand, young ahamkaras spine. try to synergise your energy weapons with your build.
(ex. having on incandescant, burn everything with scorch and has a lot of synergy with solar builds)

So either the new dungeon smg or retraced path (the RoN trace isn’t as good as retraced for…reasons)
the ammit which is also craftable can roll with the perk i mentioned
Ammit is bad, plain as
Auto Rifles just flat out kill stuff slower than their smg “counterparts”
smgs are def still king. with calus mini tool no longer feasibly obtainable the new smg from ghost of the deep can roll demo and incandescent which is a solid roll
you could pretty easily run wave frame(lead from gold/your choice) + trace + apex
trace could be substituted for something like a shotgun/fusion where needed

I personally run a kinetic special exotic pertaining to the encounter/situation, a trace rifle, and apex (or commemoration for addclear)
running double special is great if you can manage it but if you are newer i wouldnt worry too much about that
Arbalest for shields and precision hits, Bastion for large chunky enemies and unstop champs, or Conditional Finality if I want to goof off
yeah if not running double special something like flex/trinity ghoul/rocket is good
flex being riptide/heritage/succession

I’d suggest going arc hunter to take advantage of Trinity ghoul for addclear
Arc hunter is kind of stupid with combination blow and an exotic called assassins cowl, you stay invisible and punch things repeatedly, chewing through large health bars
And then Trinity covers addclear
for rockets ideally you want perks that help bufff damage (ex. explosive light, bait n swtich) and something that helps with ammo/reload (ex. field prep, auto loading for weapon swapping, clown cartridge)

The newest rocket perk (bipod) is atrocious and reduces damage by 40%, it makes your gun worse by a massive margin so don’t use it
i am genuinely curious the thought process behind who ever made that perk lmao
Autoloading holster, Reconstruction and Field Prep are the best reload perks, Bait and Switch, Explosive Light, and Vorpal Weapon are the best damage perks
(Vorpal isn’t great anymore but on some rockets it’s all you have)
frenzy is good as well, vorpal is garbage tbh
Yeah but on stuff like hezen vengeance it’s your best option
(Cluster is worse against everything but really big bosses like oryx)
So after checking out your guys posts I have stated running perpetualis, prometheus lens, and regnant. Should I run solar in kinetic and heavy as well? Was this a bad change to go with?
