I got my artifact and have my overload and other mods but don't see them in any of my armor mod slots like previous seasons? Is there a reason I can't equip them?

They are passive unlocks now with the launch of lightfall. so if you haven't played since before lightfall dropped they no longer have to be slotted in armor. the tradeoff is you can only have 12 selected at a time
