For dungeons doing them on master gives you artifice armor which allows you to get +3 stat for any stat without any cost

For avalos i think its for the catalyst, i only did it once so not really sure

I think every catalyst has its own mission or its on a weekly rotation, could be wrong tho never cared for the glaive
