unfortunately there isn’t a “best way” to farm for it. it is a completely random chance from all sources including legendary engrams
i would try leveling up banshee as much as possible tho because that’s how i got most of my red borders for ikelos smg

Is there like a single exotic or two that will generally make you contribute well to dps phases? I can think of add clear and build weapons but worried about dps

With chill clip you can stun all the champions within 2 shots afaik. Idk how exactly it works but pretty sure you need chill clip
I think its a stasis mechanic? That freezing enemies also stuns them

What i‘ve been running for lost sectors or nightfalls is riptide funnelweb thunderlord
With my void hunter this gives me add clear, boss dmg and a way to deal with champs
Can only recommend the combo of tlord and riptide, especially if you have the catalyst for tlord

Funnelweb doesnt help with champs this season at all since there is no artifact perk

One of the best things about it is also how easy it is to get, since all you have to do is play crucible

thankfully i also enjoy crucible. i think ill try to see if i can get in on some Kali farming this evening to craft age old bond. so the future build is: tlord, riptide, age old bond
im doing a void titan builkd this season so big volatile void explosions for age old bond with anti barrier sounds great

it isnt infinitely farmable. youll only be able to loot once per character when its not featured
so max of 3x per week starting tmrw until its featured again

Forgive me if someone already mentioned it, I didn't want to read 66 messages. For void specifically commemoration MG, Unforgiven with demo + repulsor (duality dungeon), hollow denial trace rifle (banshee)
graviton lance exotic, wavesplitter exotic (overload stun since trace rifle), le monarque bow (great for gms too)
watch out for gnawing hunger auto rifle via xur or banshee 44 (since auto rifles actually stun, and smgs don't)
reckless oracle void auto rifle from garden of salvation with outlaw + kill clip or outlaw + demo
age old bond is a worse archetype than gnawing and reckless oracle, but an okay option if you can't get the first two
this is just void recommendations of course since it synergises well with void subclasses / volatile. the list would be infinitely longer if we expanded to all must have PVE weapons
