How do ornaments work?

So I got some gear that I dismantled that I wanted to use for some fashion. Did I just loose that armor piece?

No you didn’t lose the ability to use it for fashion. Open up your inventory and go to the menu where you can access your sparrow, emotes, and finishers.

Select the appearance customization option the the left. If you wanted to transmog a gauntlet, have a legendary gauntlet equipped and select it.

Then hover over the square that says ornaments (I think) and it should show you all the ornaments you have unlocked along with all the gear you’ve collected but not unlocked.

If you have the right class synthweave currency, go you the gauntlet you want and you should be able to unlock it as an ornament. Then it will be selectable as an ornament for all legendary gauntlets

As long as you have acquired it, you don’t need to have it on you to make it an ornament. Just have it unlocked in collections

Only other thing is you can transmog the same piece of armor onto itself. So if you can’t find the right piece, make sure you aren’t already wearing that gauntlet
