if they are good mates just be patient and focus on enjoying the raid not trying to master it first run. with all my first clears it was with close mates and everytime someone died it would turn into the biggest pisstake
just try center it around having fun but also learning

i had my fair shares of mess ups before on raids so I'm aware of that but thanks nonetheless!

I’d say don’t be afraid to assign and then swap roles if they consistently mess up. Some people just struggle with certain tasks and other ones work better for them. Then just reassure them of it
I know when i taught some of my friends, some struggled hard on some parts of the raid but then we swapped around some roles and it was easy for them
