Im a hunter if that means anything. I get exotic weapons and armor and I have no idea if theyre good or not. Is there a website that is a guide or do you just know from playing the game

rule of thumb, if its your only one, keep it.
if it's not your only one (armor only) keep both until you run out of inventory.
once you run out of inventory (or have a decent selection of armors), use an armor set builder (DIM and others) to see what your optimal armor sets are to masterwork

i like D2armorpicker more than DIM for making sets
when it comes to exotics i normally only keep 1s that i like and the rest i delete unless it has a good roll which is normally recovery, resilience and mobility for hunter

d2armor picker is better
but dim has a setting in organizer where you can make "custom stats"
instantly sort your 100 legendaries by custom stat to see which are worst
