I finished the “from zero…” quest and got a regular version of the weapon. I thought it was a guaranteed red border. What did I do wrong? Thanks.

you haven't unlocked crafting yet it seems, make sure you do the first witch queen mission. You won't get ANY red borders until then

that mission should be f2p

because crafting is a f2p feature, you just need to do the quest for it
