Is there any way to get around doing the full raid for this quest? My friends don’t want to try and do it all since it has to be in one sitting.

I believe I saw a video at one point saying you could load into boss and back track to the start but I don’t remember if that spawned the puzzles.

if you can find some VERY generous people they can do the raid and swap the instance with you at boss.
In this way, the puzzles have all been done, and you just have to clear boss encounter
I've done this before on a Div run since I already had it and we had an irl friend who needed but wasn't able to join until later
odds of finding someone/someones who are willing to swap an instance at boss so that you can get div after doing all the puzzles and such is low, but it's worth a try lol.

it can be pretty high tho it's how i got my div because GoS is like the least played raid no1 knows what to do meaning that it can take 5-6 hours to get to boss and sometimes people will leave

Imma just let my friends do it at some point, I don’t really need anything from the raid and it seems like a lot of work 
Especially since I’m not able to be on at the same times they usually want to raid
And tbh I don’t really care about div for myself anyway
