Is it just randomly put on weapons you get? Can any drop have resonance to extract?

only weapons that are craftable can drop with deepsight

any drop of a craftable weapon has a chance to be deepsight

correct assuming you haven't already unlocked the craftable version

once unlocked the borders no longer drop for that same weapon afaik

not sure tbh, permenant vendors may not follow same rules as seasonal vendors

permenant vendors generally sell FIXED weapons, not weapons that roll when selected

#

so what you see is EXACTLY what you'd get, wouldn't expect it to roll bordered

wheras seasonal vendors the item randomly rolls, and hence can roll border

yes, different activities drop them. I know shattered boss farm was popular (not sure if it works off of rotation or must be rotator dungeon)

was around then afaik but recently changed.
has an extra mod slot with a +3 to any stat you choose, potential to be better than normal armor assuming you get a good roll

also more flexible since the mod can be moved to a different stat
