if you make a loadout with weapons you want to level in each slot, then you can also switch to it at the end of strikes and stuff too and itll level them that way.

Shuro chi is one of the best spots. If you have a hunter, put on deadfall anchor with Orpheus rigs, get on the set of stairs close to shuro and shoot the arrow.
Shoot a mob that is tethered and the damage will spread to everything else that is also tethered. This is good for annoying weapons with no aoe like firefly/dragonfly or slow firing ones. Just be sure you unequip anything volatile related.

do the breakneck mission campaign, on normal, and get the cp after you get strand the first time and run into all those vex in the rooms
just kill all the enemies except the wyvern and wipe and repeat
you get free banners which will help with yo ur sword and trace
and the runs take like 30 seconds and give like 30% each
super super easy and not a lot of people know about it
spent like 40 mins and got my trace to 17 from start

If team scorched is up you can equip the crafted weapons you want and it should level them up too
