I know shuro chi is good for heavy weapons and some specials but is there a farm that is good for primaries and stuff like shotguns that take a while to level?

Shuro Chi probably. For linear heavies and such I use dares for the chance at inf ammo in the 2nd and 3rd encounters.

for non-splash weapons, particularly heavies the cosmodrome is good, lost sector south of shaw, lots of heavy ammo when you open the chest, loop it and ez farm

for heavies and special, do the breakneck mission on normal, and once you get to the part with all the vex that spawn in the rooms and stuff just die and youll get a cp there
then you can just rally for free, melt all of them, and die. if you kill the wyvern itll progress you to the next area and youll lose the cp and have to do it again
once you have the cp, the runs take like 30 secs to destroy all the enemies, and you get like 25-30% on the gun level each run
and just wipe and repeat with the free banners

Something i'll recommend cause I don't see people do it is use Gunpowder Gamble and Taken Armaments (you're in shuro chi so might as well grab chest)
You'll have essentially infinite heavy as all weapon kills (as long as gunpower is ready) will count and give you heavy
Sorrow's Harbor can be good for primaries but it heavily depends on if there's other people.
For primary on Shuro Chi use hunter on tether + fragment for super energy on surrounded kills + tether boots + triple siphon to match primary. You'll make bigger orbs to use your super more often
