Is lumina always worth having in raid? I understand its buff takes priority over well but does it stack with surges etc?

It’s complicated

#

Lumina is one of the only non-ability related ways to boost your teammates damage not in the form of a debuff applied

#

Most people in raids run tractor because the damage loss even without slug swapping is worth the 30% debuff on the boss (making them take 30% more damage)

Using lumina sort of is the same thing as running tractor, with the downside that it doesn’t stack with well and requires swapping to use effectively

run izinagi over lumina since you have the free exotic kinetic slot

Because of its AoE capabilities, it can buff your entire team assuming you’re clumped together, and usually the 5 noble rounds can last the full damage phase

You just need to hotswap a ton with it to be optimal, and like observer said it probably won’t be a damage increase compared to running izzy or tractor

it's the same as arc soul on warlock. You do 700k damage for the whole fireteam with 1 rift but starfire does more damage

Hmm I think you guys are missing on a few things

#

Lumina is a straight 10% buff Over well. And with something like a chill clip demo bump and a kenitic fusion or blinding nade depending on raid difficulty (day 1, master)

It could be more than worth running

#

We've seen its potential in oryx 1 phase melts

We also can't always use tractor

#

Is 1 extra izzy really better? I wonder if it's been tested
