Me and a couple buddies are gonna try and get a raid group going and want to try out the easiest raid. We're not really beginners but just getting back into D2 after a long break. So any help would be appreciated.

To answer your question, the easiest is the vault of glass, it's: easy to learn, don't have a lot of mechanics and doesn't require a lot of gear

I'd say RoN is easier if you have two experienced players (to do the non ad clear stuff), but for a team of 6 beginners VoG is easier
