Hey all, returning player here. I don't want to gimp my team with lower damage for activities that give buffs to other sub-classes than my 1 solar build. How can newer/returning players create these builds?

the game doesnt give you any free exotics

and you can get hoil from xur

Ok thanks, coming back to the game and seeing everyone playing "builds" with specific exotics that make the build is discouraging, but i'll just play the game and hope I get something to help me get a build eventually

Observer is probably right that solar might be the most open as a base without exotics

Yeah Im going to stick with Solar - I have Hollowfire Heart and Promethus lens, I just wanted to play Void/Arc but I'll wait to get more gear

you could still try looking some of the fundamentals of the void or arc builds just to see how they work. you won't get the super fast regen of your abilities,

but you'll still get some of the benefits. then when you get the exotic you'll probably be able to play around it better since you'll have learned how to manage your abilities without it.

Prometheus lens isnt a great option. Outside of raids, whenever I try running double special I usually run out of ammo

however I run a hollowed denial with lead from gold, and since double special drops more heavy I basically have infinite ammo

and with the void artifact perks this season it makes it even better

What other weapons are you using besides Hollowed Denial?
